Days-1 : Haridwar to Barsu (7545 ft) 220kms whole day drive.
A drive to Barsu is a day long journey. We will pass through the towns of Uttarkashi, Rishikesh, and Chamba. Spread over in only 32 kms, Barsu is a tiny village on the way to Gangotri from Uttarkashi. A base camp to Dayara Bugyal trek, Barsu trek goes along with Bhagirathi River. Overnight stay in a guest house at Barsu.
Days-2 : Barsu to Barnala (8530 ft) 4 Km, 3-3½ hrs trek.
Total 4 km trek to Barnala is of easy normal steps. We proceed through the forest cover of Silver Oaks, Rhododendrons and Deodar. The eminent meadow of Dayara starts from the beautiful place Barnala. You will see the green meadows all around and as far as you can see. Barnala is the ideal place to pitch camps with the wonderful background of Himalayan ranges. Overnight stay in tents.
Days-3 : Barnala to Dayara Bugyal (9980 ft) 5 Km, 4-5 hrs trek.
Dayara Bugyal is a high alpine meadow; the trek passes through the Barnala meadows. You can get a sneak peak of the greater Himalayas in the midst of dense forests. The vast meadows unfolds as soon you end the ascend at Dayara. A perfect place full of picturesque scenes provides ideal view of Rudregaira, Gangotri I, II & III, Draupadi ka Danda I & II, Srikanth, Bandarpunch and Black peak, Jaonli. Overnight stay in camps.
Days-4 : Dayara Bugyal to Bakaria Top (12000 ft)3 Km 2½-3 hrs, back to dayara Bugyal.
Highest point of Dayara Bugyal, Bakaria Top has a steep ascent. Bakaria top is one of the bugyal from many small bugyals of Dayara Bugyal. The top view of snow clad mountains is breathtaking. From the top Uttarkashi can be easily seen. Wherever you see from top, the panoramic view of the entire greater Himalayas is wonderful experience. Get down to dayara for night stay at camp.
Days-5 : Dayara Bugyal to Pichkiya (7873 ft) 8 Km, 6-7 hrs trek.
Get ready to go to the Pichikya. Miles stretches of alpine meadows, small spiraling rivulets, and the sub alpine forests, a valley of Pichikya trail takes about 6 to 7 hrs. Near the campsite you will feel the dry valleys, patchy grasslands and dwarf rhododendrons.
Days-6 : Pichikya (7873 ft) to Barsu (7545 ft) 4½ Km, 3-4 hrs trek.
Through the thick forests, down to Barsu, the adjoining settlements can be seen in two ways –down and half. Get back to Barsu by evening for the night camp.
Days-7 : Barsu (7545 ft) to Haridwar whole day drive.
To board the night train out to New Delhi, we will drive back to Haridwar.
