While we hear 'Ladakh' first thought arises in mind is about a place which is coated entirely with snow Mountains. Ladakh is the region in Jammu & Kashmir state and currently extended from Kuen Lun mountain range. It is far north from sub continent and often referred as little Tibet. With the high altitude of 3500 meters, its land is fully covered with snow and snow capped mountains, which has turquoise lakes that give fantastic picturesque. It has the largest province in the state and its countryside on high altitude desert is described as rugged barren cliffs. It is mostly famous for sports & adventurous activities like snow mountaineering, trekking White River rafting, camel safari, Jeep safari, yak safari etc. Rafting is available at Indus and Zanskar rivers where as Trekking is optional which ranges from short to long. Ladakh refers a balanced & well planned society which has much to teach in reference of awareness of ecology. Homes of mud are huge and comfortable which have sufficient natural fuels, dairy products and self fertilized vegetables. While most of the citizens are poor by cash but still its self orientation is really unique. This place is not able to forget due to its incredible landscapes, walls of mountains and scenic adventures. Ladakh is closed during heavy snow fall. Spending holidays here is quite different from any other places in India and you would not know enough about this phenomenal destination without seeing it closely.
