Northeast Indian States or the Seven Sister States are known as travelers’ paradise, and are yet unexplored. Northeast India is full of natural beauty and from amazing valleys, astonishing waterfalls, to dense forests and great mountains everything can be found here. North eastern states have many famous mountain ranges and hills which are home to wide range of flora and fauna. Lesser Himalaya located in Sikkim, lower Himalayan mountains range is known as Assam Himalaya the great Himalayas in Arunachal Pradesh. There is also a diverse array of wildlife animals such as Asian Elephants and the wild water Buffalo in eastern Himalayas. Gorichen peak and Namcha Barwa are some of the highest peaks of north eastern Himalayas in these states. Days-1 : Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling
Arrival at Darjeeling either from Bagdogra airport or from NJP Railway station. After check in at the hotel relax and overnight stay.
Days-2 : Darjeeling
Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and capture the breathtaking sight of mighty Himalayas (Kanchenjunga & Mount Everest). After breakfast proceed for city tour for visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest. Also visit Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock and Happy Valley Tea Estate. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Days-3 : Darjeeling to Kalimpong
After breakfast check out from Darjeeling and leave for Kalimpong. During the day visit the local sightseeing places. Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
Days-4 : Kalimpong to Gangtok
After breakfast check out from Kalimpong and proceed for Gangtok. On arrival, check-in to Gangtok. Relax at Spa Resort & Casino; visit one of the best Spas in the country and the first on-shore live casino of the country. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Days-5 : Gangtok
After breakfast proceed for a city tour - Rumtek Monastery, M.G. Marg, Do Drul Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays), Cottage Industry (closed on Sundays) and Flower Show Complex. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Days-6 : Gangtok
After breakfast proceed for a full day visit to Changu Lake which is 35 kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains. Also visit the Baba Mandir. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Days-7 : Gangtok to Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri
After breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri for your onward journey.
